For Reviewers.
Guidelines, peer-review protocols, and ethical responsibilities for GTS Press technical reviewers.
Reviewer Guidelines
The quality of GTS Press journals relies heavily on the expertise and commitment of our peer reviewers. We employ a Double-Blind review process to ensure objectivity and technical integrity.
Reviewer Protocols & Technical Duty
Technical Review & Scientific Assessment
The primary duty of a GTS Press reviewer is to conduct a detailed technical review of the manuscript's foundation. This involves validating the originality of the research questions, assessing the rigor of the experimental methodology, and ensuring that the data interpretation is sound and logical. Reviewers are expected to cross-reference the findings against the current scholarly landscape to ensure that the work provides a genuine advancement in the field.
Furthermore, reviewers must evaluate the citation accuracy of the paper. This includes checking for the inclusion of recent, high-impact citations and ensuring that all external references are correctly attributed. A critical assessment of the manuscript's charts and figures is also required to ensure they meet the Archive's standards for clarity and data visualization.
Constructive Criticality & Scholarly Mentorship
Peer review at GTS Press is viewed as a collaborative mentoring process designed to elevate research quality. Reviewers are expected to provide detailed, actionable critiques that guide authors toward improving the technical clarity and scientific impact of their work. Feedback should be objective, specific, and supported by scholarly evidence or technical reasoning. Personal criticism or dismissive comments are strictly prohibited, as our goal is to foster a respectful and intellectually rigorous environment for the global scientific community.
Reviewers should clearly distinguish between mandatory technical corrections and optional suggestions for improvement. In cases where a manuscript requires significant revision, reviewers are encouraged to provide specific examples of literature or methodological adjustments that would help the author meet the journal's high standards for archival publication.
Ethical Governance for Reviewers
Strict Confidentiality
Every manuscript received for evaluation must be treated as a privileged, confidential document. Reviewers are prohibited from sharing, citing, or discussing the research with third parties prior to its official publication. Any data or insights gained during the review process must not be used for personal or institutional gain.
Objective Integrity
Reviews must be conducted with absolute objectivity. Personal bias, institutional competition, or ideological differences must not influence the technical assessment of the research. If a reviewer feels they cannot provide an unbiased evaluation, they must recuse themselves from the assignment immediately.
Conflict Disclosure
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including recent collaborations with the authors, shared institutional affiliations, or competing financial interests. Transparency is critical to maintaining the trust and integrity of the GTS Press Scientific Portal.
Timely Contribution
Respecting the author's research timeline is a key ethical obligation. Reviewers should only accept assignments they can complete within the stipulated timeframe. If unforeseen circumstances arise that delay the review, the editorial office must be notified immediately to maintain the Archive's efficiency.
Reviewer Recognition & Benefit Framework
GTS Press recognizes that the scholarly ecosystem depends on the voluntary dedication of expert reviewers. To honor this contribution, we have established a robust recognition framework. Every reviewer receives a formal, blockchain-verified "Certificate of Contribution" for each completed assessment, which can be used for institutional performance reviews and career advancement.
Additionally, active reviewers accumulate "Editorial Credits" that can be redeemed for significant waivers on Article Processing Charges (APC) for their own future submissions. Exceptional reviewers who consistently provide high-quality, timely evaluations are also considered for promotion to the Associate Editorial Board, providing a clear path for professional growth within the GTS Press global network.
